Penncrest junior, planned nursing career
Loren D. Wells, 16, of Media, died Jan. 29 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Born in Patchogue, N.Y., she was a resident of the Media area for the past six years. Prior to moving to Media, the family lived in Upper Darby. Loren was an 11th grade student at Penncrest High School who planned a career in nursing. She had recently joined the Introduction to Nursing Program at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Loren maintained an active social life. Happy, pleasant, outgoing, with always a smile, she enjoyed time with her friends and boyfriend. Loren worked part-time at the Chameleon Hair Salon in Media and enjoyed kickboxing.
Survivors: Parents, Bert and Christine Wells; brother, Bert; grandparents, Joan and Malcolm Merrill, Robert Jungblut, Hubert L., Jr. and Gloria Wells, all of New York and Anna Wells of Florida; and great-grandparents, Joseph Cusimano of Florida and Anna Jungblut of New York.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rigby, Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St., Media.
Visitation: 5- 9 p.m. today, a combined viewing for Loren, Shaena Grigaitis and Rachael Lehr will be held at the funeral home.
Burial: Media Cemetery.
