World War I United States Soldier. The son of Civil War veteran Colonel Oliver C. Bosbyshell, he served in the United States Army during World War I as a Sergeant in the 108th Field Artillery Regiment, 28th Division, AEF.
When he had enlisted, he spurred the connections his father had, which would have produce an officers commission for him, and enlisted as a Private. He rose to Sergeant before being killed in combat.
Buried lies buried in Plot C, Row 6, Grave 32 in the Suresnes American Cemetery, Suresnes, France. His family erected a cenotaph for him in their plot in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
