Bonnie Fleming Hancock, 80, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Coy Wylie of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Borger.

Mrs. Hancock was born in Sentinel, Okla. She then married the love of her life, Clifford Fleming on July 26, 1941. During World War II, Bonnie became an A-Welder, working in the scrap yards in Richmond, Calif. After the war, she and her husband, Clifford, moved to Borger to raise their family.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Heard and Jones Drug Store before retiring in 1978. Bonnie moved to Amarillo in 1988 and in 1989, she married Cecil Hancock. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her family dearly and her family loved her and will miss her stories very much. She was also a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband on March 27, 1974; and her second husband on April 8, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Young and husband, Curtis, and Connie Fritz and husband, Joe, all of Amarillo; five sisters, Genevieve Fontella and Lou Bertolotti, both of Las Banos, Calif., Nadine Pricolo of Gustine, Calif., Ruth Fant of Modesto, Calif., and Hazel Palmer of Freemont, Calif.; a brother, John Massey of Sunnyvale, Calif.; three grandchildren, Steven Young and wife, Jerilyn, Jeff Young and wife, Christie, and Christi Fritz, all of Amarillo; two stepgranddaughters, Dusti Milum of Amarillo and Wendi Brock of Pampa.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176; or Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

The family will be at 4201 E. 32nd Ave.
