Obituary: Petersburg, Ind. - Elza Kendall, 72 died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Daviess County Hospital in Washington, Daviess County, Indiana. A prisoner of war during World War II, the retired farmer was a member of General Baptist Church in Peterwsburg, Disabeled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, the former Loretta Swain; a daughter, Elizabeth McKinney; a sister, Blanche Robling, both of Petersburg; and a grandchild. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at General Baptist Church in Petersburg, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg.
