Funeral services for Richard I. Moore, 96, of Odessa, formerly of Haskell, were held Wednesday February 16, 1983 in Trinity Lutheran Church of Haskell. Rev. Kenneth Blair, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Cleburne Moore, son of the late Richard I. Moore. Burial was in Willow Cemetery
under the direction of Holden-McCauley Funeral Home of Haskell. Mr. Moore died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, February 14,
1983, in Deering West Nursing Home in Odessa. Born May 6, 1886, in Mason County, he moved to Haskell in 1925 and
moved to Odessa in March 1982. He married Dollie
Stogner in 1906, in Comanche. She died January 28, 1962. He married Georgia Rose, January 9, 1964. She died March 24, 1979. He was a former resident of Haskell, a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Survivors include a daughter, Talma Spangler of Seqim, Washington;
two sons, Jack and Cleburne, both of Odessa; a sister, Arvie Snyder of Brownfield; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Grace
Atchison of Haskell, Mrs. Opal Scarff of Edgewood, New Mexico, Mrs. Babe Teague of Abilene, Mrs. Frances Lytle of Amarillo and Mrs. Joy Wolfenberger of Farmers Branch;
six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John and Olen Bartley, Wendell Conner, Lee Brown, Slover Bledsloe and Richard Hudgens.
