MERIDIAN--William E. Peer, 80, former Meridian resident, died Sunday in a Pendleton, Ore., hospital.
Mr. Peer was born in Clay Center, Kan., Sept. 18, 1887. He came to Meridian in 1897. He had lived in McCall, Jordan Valley, Juniper Mountain country and Vale prior to moving to Pendleton a year ago.
Survivors include two brothers, O. L. Peer of Caldwell and Charles W. Peer of Boise, and two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Hhatfield of Bonners Ferry and Mrs. Ruth Swisher of Jordan Valley.
Graveside services will be Wednesday in Meridian Cemetery, with the Rev. Ralph Fothergill of Meridian Methodist Church officiating. The cortege will leave Robison Chapel of the Chomes at 11 a.m.
