Alma Bergan Fendrick, 90, of Fairfax, Va., formerly of Meridian, died Sunday of natural causes.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 1999, at the Meridian Cemetery under the direction of the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian.
Alma was born Aug. 30, 1908, at Elbow Lake, Minn., to Knute and Carrie (Noway) Bergan. In 1918, she moved with her parents and five older brothers to Dunn Center, N.D. She graduated from Dunn Center High School and then attended Dickinson College, receiving a teachers certificate in 1926. She taught school in North Dakota and Idaho. On Oct. 5, 1940, she married Joseph Fendrick at Dickerson, N. D. They made their home in North Dakota and Salem, Oregon, before moving to Meridian, Idaho, in 1956.
Survivors include, her son, David Fendrick of Meridian; daughter Carol Moynihan of Fairfax, Va., and five granddaughters.
