OSAGE CITY --- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church here for Charles William Feltner, 73, Osage City, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at a Topeka hospital.

He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Osage City, to Alva and Esther Mae Greenstreet Feltner, and spent most of his life in the Osage City community. He was a tire curer at the Topeka Goodyear Plant for 30 years and was a farmer for many years. He also operated road maintenance equipment for Superior Township in Osage County for 14 years.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Robert Heizer Post No. 198 of the American Legion in Osage City and Moose Lodge in Topeka.

He married Laura Ruth Reese on Jan. 15, 1951, in Emporia. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Alva Feltner, Osage City; two daughters, Joyce Ann Thornton, Osage City, and Barbara Apps, Emporia; a brother, Gene Feltner, Topeka; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Burial will be in Osage City Cemetery.

Mr. Feltner will lie in state from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m.
