William was also stepfather to his wife Martha's two daughters, Josephine and Katie Wilson; and, by his first marriage to Rachel Pryor Crook, he had six sons, Russ, Dick, Jesse, Martin, Clint, George, and one daughter, Pearl.
William F. Crook, 66, died on August 9, 1918 in Lawton, Comanche County, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held and burial was in the Pecan Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma.
