MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Bobby Lynn Doby Sr., 59, of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Doby was born in Surry County on April 19, 1949, son of the late Virgil Doby and Lula Wright Doby. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Smith Doby of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Chris Gomez of Mount Airy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby Lynn Doby Jr. and fiance Sharon Williams and Chad and Jennifer Doby, both of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Joshua Gomez, Jordan Gomez, Brittany Doby, Kirsten Doby and Amanda Williams; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Laura Doby of Dobson and Ralph and Gerline Doby of Kernersville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Randy Parrish and the Rev. Darren Slate with burial to follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
