Died, at the family residence, one mile east of here (Casner), Mrs. Susanna Bushart, on Wednesday, May 5, aged 66 years, 4 months and 13 days. Her maiden name was Susanna Hook. She was born near Lima, Ohio, January 22, 1831. She married William Bushart of Allen county, Ohio, and they came to Moultrie county, Illinois, and after one year came to Macon county where she has since resided except an interval of two years. Her husband enlisted in the cause of the Union in 1862 and was killed in the Vicksburg campaign in 1863. She leaves eight children, four sons and four daughters, to mourn her loss. They are J.M., of Hervey City; Abram, of Danville; W.H., of Dalton; D.L., of Casner; Mrs. Mary Boyer, of near Cerro Gordo; Mrs. Eliza Burrows, of Hatfield, Minn,; Mrs. Susie Phipps of Danville, and Mrs. John Ditty, of Casner. She was a member of Casner U. B. church and died giving evidence of her unswerving faith in her Lord. The interment took place at La Place cemetery, Rev. Arnold conducting the funeral ceremonies.
