Boyle, James died 6 August, 1908 at his home in Sheridan, MO aged 63. He was born in Boyleston, Henry Co, IA 2 March, 1845. He enlisted in Co B 3rd IA Cal. in 1863 serving until the close of the war. He married Eve S Jarrett at West Point, IA. They came to Worth Co, MO. James was the youngest son of Hugh & Matilda Boyle and was one of the oldest residents and founders of Sheridan Co. Three children were born: Hugh Arch and Elias Jarrett who died in young manhood and Marguerite M, now the wife of Eben White Sloan of Kansas City. He leaves one sister, Mrs Jennie B Linville of Escondido, CA. Services were attended by the I.O.O.F. and G.A.R. Burial in Grant City
