Virginia Ann Ashmun
Services for Virginia Ann Ashmun, 90, of Leroy Township, a homemaker, will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Mrs. Ashmun died Sept. 22, 2005, in Painesville.
Born Sept. 29, 1914, in Cleveland, she lived in Leroy Township the past 59 years.
She was a charter member of Leroy Femflares and was a 4-H advisor for 37 years. She was a former member of Painesville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading.
Survivors are her daughters, Dorothy (David) Griffiths and Marilyn (Mike Onderisin) Ashmun, both of Painesville and Virginia (David) Ashmun-Cordisco of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Desiree Griffiths, David (Aimee) Griffiths, Robert (Alicia) Griffiths, Erica (Tim) Lillis, Heather (John) Peterson, Christopher (Chris) Ashmun, Alyssa Cordisco and Jedd Cordisco; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Ashmun, who passed away in 1994; great-grandchildren, Morgann and Connor Ashmun; parents, Percival and Ruth (Koenig) March; brother, Earl Weber; and sister, Gertrude Weber.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Leroy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland 44106, or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor 44060.
