The death of William Henry Hawk, 75, occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Machmer, 379 West Street, Friday evening at 9 o'clock, where he had been ill for the last several weeks.
William Henry Hawk, son of Peter and Nancy Hawk, was born July 24, 1864 in Indiana. He was united in marriage with Mariah Parrett, Wabash county, on August 18, 1886. Six children were born to this union, four of whom preceded him in death. Mrs. Hawk died in 1901. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Gertrude Machmer, Wabash, and Oren Lee Hawk, Cleveland, O., and two sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Hawk had been a resident of Wabash for many years and he is a member of the Church of the Brethren.
The body will remain in the Wire Funeral HOme and friends may call there. Funeral services will be held in the Wire Funeral Home and will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Tucker of the Wabash Nazarene Church Monday at 2:30 o'clock.
