"The LaFayette Sun" - August 22, 1900:
A Happy Marriage.
On last first Sunday evening, at the residence of Dr. Ison, Mr. A. B. Jarrell, of Bosworth, and Miss Ellen Bishop, of River Bend, were united in marriage. Mr. Jase Meadors officiating. The writer has known this couple for years, as an associate to each of them I learned to appreciate their friendship. Alonza is a nice gentleman and is worthy of the charming bride he has won, and a visit to the home of Miss Ellen insures me she is a nice lady and will make a loving wife and good help mate. She is loved and esteemed by all who know her. We waft congratulations to the happy pair and wish for them a peaceful journey through life and a happy entrance into the part of the other short at the last great day.
