Mr. Henley was born in Dyer County, Tenn., Feb. 16, 1891, being at the time of his death, aged 45 years, 6 months and 11 days. Services were held at the Henley home in this city, conducted by the Rev. W.L. Meyer, with interment made in Little Prairie cemetery.

Funeral services were held in this city last Friday, August 28, at 4 p.m. at the home of Mrs. H.V. Henley on Ferguson avenue for her son, John B. Henley of El Campo, Texas, who lost his life on the preceding Tuesday evening in a highway accident while en route from his employment in the oil fields at Wharton not far from Houston, Texas. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. W.L. Meyer, local Methodist minister, and interment was in Little Prairie cemetery here.
Details of the accident are lacking, Atty. Fred Henley stated this morning, nor is it known whether any one besides Mr. Henley was killed or injured.
The deceased leaves no immediate family, his wife having died some years ago. He is survived by his mother and a sister, Miss Marietta Henley, living here, and a second sister, Mrs. Jessie Michell, whose home is in California, in addition to the two nephews, Messrs. Fred and Joe B. Henley, of this city, and nieces in California.
Mr. Henley lived in this city for about a year, along about the year 1909, and it had been some fourteen years or more since he had visited here. He was aged probably between 45 and 50.
