George R. Beasley, 69, prominent Stuart business man, died at the Stuart hospital Tuesday morning. Death was attributed to pneumonia. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home near Stuart and burial was made nearby.
His wife, Mrs. Jennie Beasley; six daughters, Mrs. Louis Mitchell, Mrs. Walter Cox, Mrs. Roscoe Moss, Miss Nannie Beasley of Stuart, Mrs. H. C. Dutton and Miss Iris Beasley of Greensboro, N.C.; five sons, George, Murray, Thomas Beasley of Stuart, Grover Beasley of Roanoke and John Beasley of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; five brothers, Bill, Jim and Frank Beasley of Stuart, John and Dick of Claudeville and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Padgett of Fieldale and Mrs. Jim Dunkley of Stuart R. F. D, survive.
