William was the son of George Louis Hagood and Sarah Stephenson Hagood.

He was the spouse of Flora A. Randolph Hagood. They were married April 24, 1926 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

The funeral for William "Will" McKinley Hagood, 88, 608 State St., Muscle Shoals, will be at 1 p.m. today at Okolona Baptist Church, Hatton, with the Revs. Lee Sanderson and Robert Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery, Lawrence County, Spry Funeral Home, Sheffield, directing.

The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

He died Monday at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital, Sheffield, after a brief illness.

He was a native of Lawrence County, a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and a member of Okolona Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Flora Hagood, Muscle Shoals; son, William Hayes Hagood, Roxboro, N.C.; daughter, Mrs. Sherry Harris, Muscle Shoals; brothers, Frank Hagood, Moulton, Ellis Hagood, Town Creek; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Bearers will be nephews.
