The State Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that Taylor McQueeney died of smoke inhalation.

Taylor was born a daughter of Rebecca Cote and Mark McQueeney.

She attended Montello school. Taylor enjoyed her friends and family, climbing trees, riding bikes, fishing, skateboarding and digging for worms. She was a free spirit, a dare devil and always smiling. She was just a happy girl who made everyone smile. She will be sadly missed by everyone.

She is survived by her mother, and father; her brothers, Levi, Zachary and Alexander; her sister, Kaydence McQueeney; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Brenda Cote of Lewiston; her paternal grandparents, Noreen McQueeney; Robert McQueeney; maternal great-grandfather, Arthur Cote of Auburn; aunts and uncles, Paul Cote Jr., Lena Cote, Amy Cote, Marie Cote, Bobby McQueeney, Daniel McQueeney, Crystal McQueeney and Deedee and Eric Laffely; and many cousins.

Taylor was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Francoise (Babe) O Bougie Cote.

McQUEENEY — Taylor A., 9, a resident of Lewiston, died in Lewiston Monday, Aug. 17. Funeral services honoring Taylor's life will be held on FRIDAY at 11 a.m. at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Committal will follow at Broadview Cemetery.
