Ola White, 97, died Friday, April 4, 1997. There is a new voice singing in the heavenly choir with the passing of Ola White.

Born Feb. 14, 1900, Ola was one of eleven children born to Petranella and Jeptha Hester Fisher of Peniel, Tx.

Ola and her sister, Mrs. Hester Peck, were known as "The Singing Sister's" and traveled to different churches sharing their love for Jesus. All of her brothers and sister have preceded her in death.

Ola moved from Peniel, Tx to attend Bethany-Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University). She taught piano in the music department for many years. She met and married Kendall S. White while working there. She and their son, Steven, helped him serve as a minister in the Nazarene Church. After her husband's death, Ola and Steve moved back to Bethany, OK and she continued teaching piano. At the age of 91, she took her last two piano students, her great-great nieces.

Ola White was an active member of the Nazarene Church her entire life. She loved signing in the choir. The women's missionary society consistently benefited from her efforts. She regularly participated in Bible study groups. Her love and compassion surrounded everyone who met her. She made everyone feel special with a flash of her beautiful smile, kind words, and thoughtful deeds.

Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to the wonderful caring staff at the Daily Living Center. They enriched all our lives with the loving tender care they provided.

Services will be 2 pm Monday, April 7, 1997, in Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment in Bethany Cemetery. Gene Adams Funeral Home.
