Transfered to the 30th VA Infantry Battillon on 10/1/1862.

Detailed as musician on December 31, 1862, listed as fifer January 13, 1863.
On furlough because of sickness of children and no mother to care for them.
On April 29, 1863 described as age 33, gray eyes, sandy hair, fair complexion, 5'9", born in Grayson Co.
Pres. until taken POW at Waynesboro March 2, 1865, sent to Fort Delaware on March 12, 1865, released on oath on June 21, 1865, ruddy complexion, dark hair, brown eyes, 5'10". B. 2/20/1829.
Age 40, Farmer, 1800, 652, 1870 GCC.
Applied for pension in 6/1909, approved by the Grayson Co. Pension Board. D. 2/2/1913
