Verna T. Minyard Chitwood, 95, of Alma, died, January 4, 2010 in her home.
She was born May 13, 1914 in Crawford County, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Alma Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller Chitwood.
She is survived by a half-sister, Margie Vinsant f Dover, AR; two nieces, Patricia Amin of Indianapolis, IN and Sharon Peddicord of Midland, AR; and two cousins, Rita Haill of Houston, TX and C.D. Kelly of Houston, AR.
Funeral service was Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Alma Church of Christ Church and burial was held privately at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mike Coleman, Benny Brown, Ron Brown, Jerry Griffin, Butch Mahan, Phillip Murphy, and Doug Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Mahan, Jay Coleman, and Darrell Goodpasture.
