Frederick Post Mon., 24 Apr 1961 states:
Harry Johnson, well-known retired Telephone Company employee, died at his home, 828 North Market street, Saturday at 3:35 AM after an immediate illness of several months, aged 78 years. He was a son of the late John J and Mary Green Johnson and was a member of the Lutheran church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1067, Loyal Order of Moose, 371 and the Pioneers of America of the Telephone Company. Mr. Johnson was employe by the C & P Telephone Company for 42 years having retired as District Manager, Mount Airy, about 12 years ago. Surving are three daughters, Mrs. William H. Geisbert, This city; Mrs. Russell E Keegan, Washington,and Mrs Joseph L Gordon, this city. Four grand children, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. He was the last of his immediate family. The body rests at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral home Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Cancer Fund.
