Delano C. Calvin
The funeral of Delano C. Calvin, a former Surrogate of New York County, took place at the Church of Zion and St. Timothy, West Fifty-seventh Street yesterday. He died at Easthampton, L. I., on Wednesday. He will be buried at Watertown, N. Y. Mr. Calvin was at one time considered one of the foremost members of the bar in this city. He was born in 1824 in Clayton, N. Y. In 1876 he was appointed Surrogate to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Surrogate Van Schaick, and in the following Fall he was elected to fill out the unexpired term.
