Her maiden name was Yates which is what the 'Y' stood for, so there's no need for the extra 'Y'. Howard Quentin Whitener was her 2nd husband. The first husband was the father of their daughter, Dorothy, according to Dorothy's obit. Would you please add full birth and death dates for Virginia?
