John A. (sic) Perkins, an aged resident of Montgomery, was buried this morning at Antioch cemetery after services had been held at the Antioch church. Mr. Perkins died last Saturday night at his home at Montgomery at 7 o'clock from ailments due mostly to old age. He was eighty-two years old. During the last few years of his life Mr. Perkins had been afflicted with blindness. He was an old soldier who saw several years of active service in the civil war. He was widely known throughout the eastern part of the county He leaves a wife and four sons. (Washington Democrat - Mon., 1 Jul 1912, pg. 5)
