Henry Harrington was better known as "Red" because of his red hair. He worked for Wilson Supply Co. in Shreveport, Louisiana. He had 3 children by his first wife, Elizabeth Williams Harrington. They are Carolyn Sue Harrington Shields, Michael Henry Harrington and Brenda Kay Harrington Walton. He loved to fish.

Services for Henry "Red" Harrington, 74, of Big Sandy, Texas formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, Monday, November 23, 1998 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Burial will be in Deberry Cemetery in Deberry, Texas.
Mr. Harrington passed away Friday, November 20, 1998 at his residences after a lengthy illness. He was born September 1, 1924 in Cypress, Louisiana. He was retired from Wilson Oilfield Supply in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mr. Harrington is survived by his wife, Wanda Howell Harrington, his three children, Michael Harrington of St. Martinville, La.; Carolyn Shields of Slaughter, La.; Brenda Walton of Lafayette, La.; his two stepchildren, Jeff and Debbie Thomas of Big Sandy, Tx.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lena Harrington.
Pallbearers will be Mike Harrington, Danny Walton, Jeff Thomas, Steven Forester, Heath Harrington and Gary Renshaw.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 22, 1998 from 5-7 p.m., and Monday prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Longview, Inc., 1306 Pinetree Rd., Longview, Tx 75604.
