Lloyd A. Berry, age 91 of Buena Vista passed away December 16, 2015, at his home, under the care of Ministry Home Hospice with his family at his side.
Funeral Services for Lloyd will be held at Noon on Monday, December 21 at the Shuda Plover Funeral Home - Plover. Pastor Jim Verkest will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Liberty Corners Cemetery.
Lloyd was born July 9, 1924 in Buena Vista, the son of Edward and Anna (Rusch) Berry. After attending local schools, Lloyd began working the family farm at the age of 17. He married Evelyn "Tootie" Swan on January 27, 1945 at the United Methodist Church in Plover. After their marriage the couple settled on the family farm. Lloyd worked the farm for 48 years "retiring" in 1986, but always helped out on the farm until the age of 90! He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, gardening, and driving tractor. Most of all Lloyd loved being with his family and sharing with his grandchildren their events and attending all the sporting events they participated in. He was an avid baseball and Brett Farve fan.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Evelyn "Tootie" and their four children: Janice (Ralph) Turzinski, Almond; Nancy (Richard) Hocking, Rosholt; Brian (Donna) Berry, Plover; Brenda West, Stevens Point. 14 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Anna Berry, 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
