Freeman Roberds was born abt 1735 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and died before 11 Nov 1804 in Union District, South Carolina. He and Martha Runyon got marriage license on 20 Oct 1768 in New Jersey; Martha Runyon Roberds was born ca1740 in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and died before 1774 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Thomas Roberds was administrator of the estate of Freeman Roberds.

His daughter was Margaret Smith Edmundson Duncan Parham, buried at Bush River Burial Ground in Newberry SC. Another daughter was Hannah Smith who married Benjamin Evans. David Smith, Jr. is buried there in a marked grave.

Freeman Roberds was not a Quaker - his son Thomas Roberds, Admittance - Cane Creek Monthly Meeting dated 22 Mar 1806. Freeman Roberds and his wife are buried at, or near Padgett's Creek Meeting House Cemetery.
