Orval Glen Breshears, 59, died November 23 in a hospital in Escalon, Calif. He was a native of Avery and a brother to Retta McKinzie of Wheatland.
A carpenter by trade, he had lived in California about 32 years, going there from Avery. He and his wife, Lola Mae, resided on a small ranch out of Escalon.
Surviving besides his wife, are three sons, J. D. of Escalon, Glen of Washington state and Maurice of Manteca, Calif., his mother, Mrs. Martha Breshears, 95; five sisters, Mrs. McKinzie, Mrs. Ethel McHale, Mrs. Zula Beyerly, Mrs. Venora Brooks and Mrs. Oleta Maurer; and six grandchildren.
Largely attended funeral services were held at the Deegan Funral Chapel on November 26th with Rev. Arthur Baker officiating. Soloist was Rev. H. B. Beam. Interment was in the Burwood Cemetery of Escalon.
Mrs. Maurer and Mr. and Mrs. McHale were there and attended the funeral with his family and the Edwin McKinzie family. They returned by plane Sunday.
