Clyde Forrest Farmer, 75, of Pulaski, died Monday, March 1, 2004 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Pulaski, Va. on May 15, 1928 and was the son of the late Mideon Lee Farmer and Mamie Millirons Farmer.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Wilson Farmer; and by two sisters, Irene Kegley and Audrey Eidson.

He was a retired employee from C&P Telephone Co. having 35 years of service. Mr. Farmer was an elder and trustee of Pulaski Presbyterian Church and he was a faithful volunteer for the Share Program of Pulaski. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Keith Mitchell, Pulaski; grandchildren, Garrett Mitchell and Shayna Mitchell; sisters, Pauline Hall, Pulaski, Jane Farmer, Pulaski, Mrs. Perry (Judy) Harkrader, Christiansburg and Mrs. Angus (Carolyn) Shaw, Johnson City, Tenn.; and brothers, Douglas Wayne Farmer, Dublin and Gary L. Farmer, Radford.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Steven's Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Dr. Angus Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral home, Inc., Pulaski, Va.
