A native of Powderly, she had been a Borger resident since 1948. She was homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
She married W.G. Ashford Nov. 13, 1992 in Hugo, Okla.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Windell Ashford of Borger; Billy Ashford of Austin; and Joe Ashford of Ada, Okla.; a daughter, Dian McKamie of Borger; two sisters, Cordelia Tilson and Florence Daughty, both of Powderly; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will be staying at 914 Harrington.

Graveside services for Elsie Lavada Ashford, 74, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Ashford died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1992 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.
