Casimiro was survived by sons Tomas, Steve, and grandson raised as a son Frank of La Puebla, and Matias of Santo Niño; 6 daughters Rita Maestas, Cordelia Martinez, Ramona Peña, Jennie Lucero, and Bernie Diaz of La Puebla, and Rosemary Montoya of Wheatridge, Colorado; 3 brothers Pete Montoya of Cuarteles, Eustaquio Montoya, and Daniel Montoya of La Puebla; 43 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Funeral services were 1 Dec 1989 at the Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz. Burial was in La Puebla Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Montoya, Ted Peña Jr., Albert Diaz Jr., Robert Lucero Jr., Sammy Naranjo Jr., Steve Montoya Jr., Tommy Montoya Jr., and Casey Montoya III. Honorary pallbearers were Zacky Martinez, Tony Maestas, and Frankie Montoya Jr.
