Donnie Lee Rhea Thompson, 99, of Rogers passed away August 15, 2009 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born March 21, 1910 in Union County, MS, the daughter of Agner & Ethel Brownley Boatner. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell. Ms. Thompson enjoyed cooking and found great pleasure in taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister; her first husband, James L. Rhea and her husband, Mack Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter Judy Humphreys and her husband Thomas of Rogers; four grandchildren, David Humphreys, Diane Murphy, Kay Hesington and Cindy McDoulett, all of the local area; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Brace, Stephanie Brace, Madison McDoulett and Blake McDoulett, also of the local area and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 16 at Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers with Pastor Ben Rowell officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 15. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in Cornersville Cemetery in Cornersville, MS.
