Our loving, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Marie Pack Barker, age 80, passed away February 11, 1998, at her home in Salt Lake City.
Marie was born January 30, 1918, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Marvin E. and Thelma N. Pack. She married Frank Alvin Barker on June 14, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Frank preceded her in death on May 13, 1955. Marie was a kind and loving individual who was devoted to her family. Marie was a devoted member of the L.D.S. church. She served in the church in many capacities. She was admired and loved by everyone she met. She was known for her love and kindness and will be missed until we can meet again.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (husband Ron) Grisamer, Sandy, UT.; five grandchildren, Mike Knudsen, Karen (Kim) McDonald, Kristie (Jeremy) Olsen, Karolee, Mark Knudsen; three great grandchildren; and one niece. Preceded in death by her husband Frank, and a daughter Bonnie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 1998, 11 a.m., at the Highland View Ward, 2980 South 2790 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm, at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
