Mrs. Henderson passed away Friday, October 12, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was retired from Scott Tractor Co. after thirty-eight years of service. She was an active member of Parkview Baptist Church for sixty years where she was in leadership with the children's department, a member of Chancel Choir for sixty years, and choir librarian. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Lloyd Alvin Henderson; parents, John and Callie Griffin; sisters, Leola Peters, and Joy Phelps; and brothers, Justin Griffin, and Johnny Griffin.
Survivors include her nephews, Billy Peters, Donald Peters, Delwyn Peters, Alvin Griffin, Johnny Griffin, Justin Fogleman, John Fogleman, Michael Griffin, and John Griffin; nieces, Anita Cole, Shirley Swayze, Diane Gregory, Catherine Cashiola, and Donna Sue Natali; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to Parkview Baptist Church or to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
