Gerald Wallace Carter, loving brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, quietly passed away in his Levan, Utah, home March 1, 2007.

Gerald, known to his friends and family as Jerry, was born on July 13, 1930 in Levan to Gerald Holman and Zella Stephensen Carter.

Throughout his life-time, Jerry raised 11 children. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took every opportunity available to brag on them. In his younger years he was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising and riding horses. He was quick on a horse and even quicker with his aim. Jerry took great pride in his work. It didn't matter whether he was welding, farming, or cattle ranching, he did it all with honor and pride. He was a member of the operating engineers for over 50 years. He remained active until his passing, tinkering around the yard with his horse "Star."

Jerry also loved to travel and took the time to take his family to the beautiful places of this country. He was always dreaming about and planning for the next place he wanted to visit.

Jerry is survived by his 11 children; Kent Carter, Kevin Carter, Lexie Carter, Zeke Carter, Julia Gower, Ike Harward, Lane Harward, Gary Isom, Jeri Dell Sandberg, Tammy Bulloch, and Todd Isom. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held in Jerry's honor at the Levan church at 12:00 noon Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

Interment will be in the Levan Cemetery.

Dad, we are all thankful that our lives were blessed enough to have you as a father. We will miss your loving adventurous spirit.
