Traveled with his family from Lexington, Tennessee in a covered wagon pulled by oxen to go to Arkansas. (1890)
He later moved to Oil Trough, Arkansas. They lost about six children while there because of Malaria.
1900 they were living in White County, Arkansas
Shortly afterward, hey moved to Red River County, Texas where his wife died.

By 1910 he had settled in Chickasaw, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma.
1920 he was living in Lenapah, Nowata County,Oklahoma
He died in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma
