Lola B. Beahm, 84, of Westville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 in La Porte.
She was born April 1, 1925 in LaPorte to Russell and Bessie (Brown) Warnke. On June 8, 1946 in Westville, she married William E. Beahm who passed away Aug. 7, 1993.
Lola is survived by her children Diane (Jim) Smith of Rensselaer, Richard (Sue) Beahm of LaPorte; five grandchildren, Matthew A. Beahm, Christopher E. Beahm, Kelly (Christopher) Wilder, Cassandra (Christopher) Peck, Kevin J. Smith, four great-grandchildren and her brother, Lawrence "Spud" (Dorothy) Warnke of LaPorte. Also preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers.
She was a retired bookkeeper having worked for Westville High School for approximately 20 years. Lola was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church and the Thursday Morning Breakfast Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17 at the Newhard Funeral Home in Westville. Rev. Dr. Karen Altergott will officiate. Burial will be in Westville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials can be made to the Westville United Methodist Church.
