William Hays Vineyard, 64, of Rt. 1, Sidney, died at 9:45 Monday in DeLeon Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services were to be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Comanche Funeral Home.

The Rev. Kenneth Vaughn, pastor of the First Baptist Church, was to officiate. Burial was to be in Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Comanche.

Born September 18, 1913 in Comanche, he married Veda Lucile Smith April 13, 1932 in Comanche. He lived in Comanche all his life. He is a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Jane Sikes of Gorman and Lou Fuller of Stephenville and Mrs. Inez Robison of Rankin; four sons, Bill of Comanche, Dean of Abilene, Fred of Stephenville and Wayne of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Sledge of Soda Springs and Mrs. Odessa Haynes of Odessa; two brothers, Hoyt and A.E. both of Comanche; 19 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
