My 2nd-great grandmother, Martha Mitchell Thomason, was the daughter of Ephraim Miles Mitchell (son of John Mitchell of NC who migrated to TX in 1837) and Rebecca B. Jones (supposed daughter of Seminole/Creek Indian chief Arpeika, aka Sam Jones). She married Francis Marion Thomason Oct. 30, 1862 in Henderson Co., TX. They had eight children: George, Louisa, Loucanda, Christian, Oscar, Frank, Risdom "Tobe", and Archibald.
