Lowell David Spain, 52, of Fredericktown, died in an accident, Thursday, September 16, 1999, while working at his home in Fredericktown. He was born December 15, 1946 in Zion, Missouri, to Simon Peter and Ruby Hazel (Whitener) Spain. He married June Phillips of Fredericktown, December 9, 1968 in Fredericktown.
Preceding Mr. Spain in death were his father; and one son, Kyle David Spain.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; three daughters, Donna Spain of Fredericktown, Karen Broussard of Jackson, and Amanda Boushie of Fredericktown; a brother, Darrell Spain of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Ann Spain of Zion and Irene Gipson of Fredericktown; and a grandson, Wyatt Boushie of Fredericktown.
Mr. Spain enjoyed hunting, fishing, and story telling. His funeral services were September 18, 1999, at Follis and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Bess officiating. Burial was in the Barber-Whitener cemetery. Pallbearers were Lester Pogue, Bruce Branum, Jim Hall, Bill Edmonds, Burness Hall and Tub Toppins.
