ATLANTA -- Services for George H. Bennett will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Atlanta Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery under direction of Southern.
Bennett, 82, of Atlanta died Friday, Oct. 11, 1996, in Winn Parish Medical Center, Winnfield.
He was a native of Saco, Maine, and a member of Atlanta Baptist Church. He served as postmaster in Atlanta for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of DAV, VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Greenland of Atlanta; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday in the church.
