Died in Stockton Insane Asylum. Committed in 1862 by her son Council Goodell, based on the claim of "religous excitement". She escaped in 1869 and was returned from Merced Co a few months later. She escaped again in 1870 and was returned in 1871 from Oakland. Husband, Joseph Ellis Goodell, died probably 1890-1891, where he was enumerated in the 1890 City Directory at the Old Folks Home in San Francisco at Pine and Pierce. Likely buried in SF at Laurel Hill and reburied in Colma at Cypress Lawn in 1939-40 as part of the Laurel Hill Cemetery exhumations.
