Isaac Rowles, one of the pioneer settlers and residents of Clearfield County, died Wednesday at the home of his daughter , Mrs W. D. Weaver, in Bellwood, wither he had gone last fall. He was 94 years of age and had been blind for the past few years.
The deceased was a member of Company D., Seventy-fifth infantry, in the civil war and served through the entire conflict. His remains were taken to Coalport for internment.
Mr. Rowles was born in the Sanborn district, Clearfield county and was highly respected by all who knew him. For the past four years Mr. Rowles had been blind.
