Abram Shaffner Jr., 83, of 73 Ridgewood Manor, Manheim, formerly of Mount Joy R1, died Friday at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Kathryn Geltmacher Shaffner, who died in 1988, and the late Miriam Heisey Shaffner, who died in 1978.
Born in Maytown, he was the son of the late Abram and Jennie Dinteman Shaffner.
He grew up on a farm and worked as a farmer in East Donegal Township for more than 47 years, retiring in 1975.
After retiring he worked for Donegal School District as a custodian.
He attended Evangelical Congregational Church of Mount Joy.
Surviving are two sons, eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one sister.
