ALEC BURLESON’S DEATH SHOCKS FRIENDS HERE
His many friends here, where he served as Marshal for more than 15 years, were shocked and saddened at word of the sudden death of A. A. (Alec) Burleson, which occurred at the Morrison Hospital in St. Helena, California. The Burleson have been making their home in Middleton, California, for the past few months.
He appeared to be in excellent health when he resigned as Night Policeman here in February and left for the Coast.
A telegram to Tom McWilliams brought the news of Alec’s death which was due to stomach ulcers. He had been ill only 24 hours.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 15th in St. Helena, which burial took place.
He is survived by the widow, a daughter, Bernadine, and three step-daughters.
