Mary Juanita Davis, 81, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009. She was born March 31, 1928, in Corsicana. She was a longtime member of Fundamental Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, the Rev. James T. Davis; sons, Thomas Lynn Davis, Larry Don Davis and James Gary Davis; and brother, Buddy Ray.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Ashley and husband James; sister, Lorena Tate and husband Mahlon; grandchildren, Robbie and Kenneth Swart, Michael McCarter, Mary and Bobbie Cook, Marcy and Roy Ayala, Christy and Steve James, Michelle and Josh Oakley, Clemmie Tanner, Julie Bush and Niki Bush; grandson-in-law, Terry Montgomery; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Griffin-Roughton Chapel. Interment will follow at Prairie Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony McClain, Ricky McClain, Clemmie Tanner, Leslie Travis, Bill Roper and James Ashley. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Montgomery, Freddie Nutt and Otis Dunagan.
