Mr. Longfellow was born November, 22, 1928, in Hoopeston, a son of Earl and Lota Wagoner Longfellow.
Survivors include his twin sister, Maxine Hudspeth of Lafayette, Indiana; and a brother, Lester Longfellow of Cissna Park, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Longfellow was a graduate of Eureka College. He was a teacher in Sibley, Illinois and later at John Greer Junior High School in Hoopeston. He also worked at Schumacher Electric Corp. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Ira Owen Kreager American Legion Post 384, Hoopeston. He enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Illini.
