MRS. BUCKLER'S FUNERAL HELD AT ST. FRANCIS - Funeral rites for Mrs. Emma Katherine Buckler were conducted with a Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 7, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, St. Francis, the pastor, Rev. Patrick Creed, officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Buckler, 87, died at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Lebanon, where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke on July 5. A native of Marion County, she was the former Emma Katherine Dant, daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Cissell Dant, and the widow of D. H. Buckler, Sr., who died in 1954. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C. B. (Inez) Mattingly, St. Mary's; Mrs. Louis (Mary Ola) Graves, and Miss Katherine Buckler, both of Loretto; one son, D. H. Buckler, Jr., Lebanon; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Joe and John Buckler, Charles, D. H., John and Joe Mattingly and Louis Graves. The body was at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, where prayers were recited at 7:30 Friday evening.
